PROHIBITED FIREARMS IN ILLINOIS

In accordance with ILCS 5/24-3, Section A, Subsection (h), Sheepdog Firearms may not sell or deliver to an unlicensed individual any handgun having a barrel, slide, frame or receiver which is a die casting of zinc alloy or other non-homogeneous metal that melts or deforms at a temperature of less than 800 degrees Fahrenheit.

These restrictions apply to transfers as well as to store sales.

Please note: These restrictions apply only to licensed dealers during sales and transfers and do not apply to private individuals transferring existing firearms within the state. If you already own a firearm covered by this law, you may continue to own, shoot, and sell it privately to another non-licensed individual.
